I'm going to simplify this. Because that's what I do and that's what I want to help you do too. I meet so many women who really want to run their own business. But they don't think it's feasible. I often get asked if I think it's something they can really do. My answer is HELL YEA!
But you must keep things simple. Very simple. Partly because that's the easy way and partly because if it's complicated you'll give up. Giving up is SO not the answer.
Recently, I had the good fortune of meeting and then having a coaching call with Beth Hanishewski, who I hope will be my business coach in the new year. She gave me a super analogy. Your self-doubt, your feelings of being less than, your idea that you aren't capable of taking the steps toward your dream goals, and all the other lovely things that hold us back from really accomplishing what we want to, are like a moldy banana found behind the couch. It's yucky, rotted, covered in dust bunnies and mold and truly has no purpose in your life any more. Take it out, take a look at it, notice the grossness, then toss it. And forget about it. So here's my Monday Motivation. If you want to create and run a sustainable business, create and run a sustainable business. There is no trick to this. It's a set of tools that anyone can learn. Yes, there will be a learning curve but there's a learning curve in everything. If your options are to suffer for not following your heart or to take on the learning curve challenge, I say, take the challenge.
You can do it. Just don't over think things. Move forward, one step at a time. Slowly and surely and you will find success. There is no doubt in my mind.
